In the Dominican Republic, cacao literally grows like weeds. Its flavour is also something quite extraordinary, balancing a fruity, almost floral aroma with a natural cocoa taste.

That’s why we buy the Hispaniola beans in this chocolate from the Conacado Fair Trade cooperative. Conacado gathers beans from nearly 10,000 different organic farmers on the island, making cocoa production and, ultimately, the growers’ everyday lives, better. More “weeds” for the people, we say!
